Despite working for Paul Smith, Margaret Howell and Albam, David Keyte has not been heavily influenced by any other designers, but ordinary people going about their day to day lives. He has been known to cite his influences as being the way his uncle Bill dressed or “some nutty old guy waiting at the bus stop on my walk to work”.
Collections include an abundance of workwear, military and heritage influences with as much focus being on the manufacturing and thought process as the design. Good honest clothes made to the highest standards in the right places.
Here at Psyche, we stock a good selection of Universal Works’ fine handmade clothing. An abundance of soft shouldered deconstructed jackets, impeccably crafted work shirts, and all manner of garments made from technical fabrics. The designer’s emphasis on quality and design reflects that of Psyche, with many complimenting lines alongside Universal Works such as Oliver Spencer and Kestin Hare.
