Hackett’s tale began in London in 1979, with founders Jeremy Hackett and Ashley-Lloyd Jennings setting up a use clothing stall on Portabello Road. Later opening a shop on the “wrong end” of the famous Kings Road in Chelsea, Hackett began to slowly turn towards the production of their own designs. It was in 1987 that Hackett truly found their niche, bringing out a range of sports designs. The Hackett polo shirts proved so popular that the brand decided to bring them on sale to the general public - the rest is history.
