Legendary designer Massimo Osti's first label, known as C.P. Company, was founded in 1974. An interest in the protective hoods worn by the Japanese Civil Defence led Massimo to produce his most famous piece, the Mille Miglia, which would soon become an icon of Italian sportswear.
Origins and The Mille Miglia
Taking it's name from the famous Italian race which Massimo sponsored in 1988, the first jackets almost seemed as if they had been designed for the competition. When C.P. Company agreed to sponsor the race, Massimo realised the jacket looked perfect for the job, and offered it to participants. The optical goggles have been incorporated into C.P. Company's designs ever since and with technological advances in both fabric and garment construction, Massimo's design was meticulously developed, earning a reputation as one of the most advanced premium Italian designers around, fusing military practicality with a sleek Italian aesthetic.
