As well as Psyche being the perfect choice for Barbour mainline clothing, we also give you quality collaborations, with this time being the Barbour x White Mountaineering collection. The inspiration behind the collection comes from British coarse fishing, a leisure close to Barbour's fishing heritage and Yosuke Aizawa's passion for the outdoors, celebrating design, functionality and fabric construction with technical features.
Two iconic brands from opposite sides of the globe
The story started when two outerwear heavyweights from opposite sides of the globe came together to produce a collection that puts a contemporary spin on Barbour's iconic waxed jackets. The combination of Barbour's tried-and-tested heritage designs and the meticulous attention to detail that artisan Japanese brands are known for led to a capsule collection that combine the two brand's core principles.
The inspiration behind the collection comes from fresh water fishing, a leisure close to Barbour's sea trade heritage. An exclusively designed fish camo adds distinction to linings in jackets in bold reds and blues and is used as an all over print in the Manu Short Sleeved Shirt, as well as in bags and accessories. Lightweight and the unique fishing reel clothes collection designed for sophisticated style. Fabrics are skilfully combined in garments packed with fine detail, making each one a voyage of discovery.
The White Mountaineering name, established in 2006, was inspired by the dominance of concrete buildings in Tokyo which appear to glow white across the ancient Japanese cityscape. Renowned for their imagination in combining design, utility and technology into its garments, White Mountaineering produce a range of rugged, heritage inspired collections with a strong emphasis on fabrics, construction and technical features.
